Colorado State football quarterback Giles Pooler will start against. Utah State

Three games, three different starting quarterbacks.

The major personnel shakeup for the Rams continues and now Giles Pooler will make his first college start on Saturday against Utah State.

No. 1 QB Clay Millen remains out with a shoulder injury suffered in September. 24 against Sacramento State. Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi started in his place last week in a win over Nevada, but coach Jay Norvell announced Wednesday that Pooler would start this week.

Pooler grew up in Fort Collins and played college football at Rocky Mountain High School as a sophomore and junior before playing his senior season in Kentucky.

He briefly entered the Week 1 game at Michigan late in the game, but has yet to throw a college pass.

“He took a few hits last week,” Norvell said of Fowler-Nicolosi. “We’re going to give Giles the chance to start. Brayden is going to be ready to play if we need him… It’s Giles’ turn, he’s earned the right. He’s really studied extremely hard. He’s coming every day, pass preparation time.”
