Golf glamor gal Paige Spiranac’s latest social media move goes a long way to explaining her explosive popularity.

The 29-year-old former golfer — beloved by duffers and non-players alike — gave fans a hint of her Halloween costume on Instagram. Last year, she dressed as sexy comic book bad girl Harley Quinn.

She teased her millions of fans: “Last year’s Halloween costume was good but this year is even better. Who do you think I’m dressing up as?”

Fans took the bait. Catwoman, one suggested, while another said Black Canary or maybe Marvel’s Black Widow.

But one fan messaged: “Wow. Whatever it’s going to be you’ll be the most smoky’in hot chick wearing it.”

Spiranac is everywhere these days. From social media to sultry calendars to podcasts, her 4.2 million followers across Instagram and Twitter only seem to want more.

Out of the flames of her disappointing career in the LPGA, she has risen like a phoenix and morphed into a multimillion-dollar one-woman brand.

For starters, she was a brand ambassador with Parsons Xtreme Golf and the 18Birdies golf app back in 2017. Next, men’s fashion label Mizzen + Main linked up with Spiranac to plug their popular threads (see Phil Mickelson).

This year, lad’s mag Maxim voted Spiranac as the “World’s Sexiest Woman,” an honor that definitely burnished her brand in the golf world — and beyond. No doubt that will help with sales of her $38 calendar that sports a cowgirl motif.

In addition to the calendar, she also hawks T-shirts, posters and beach towels on her official website.

But it was social media that sent Spiranac soaring into the stratosphere of popularity. On Instagram, anytime she gives a shoutout to a product, it’s KA-CHING!

According to one report, if you want her to mention your product on social media you’ll need to shell out about $22,000. For those with the scorecard, it’s a heftier price than golf great Tiger Woods charges.

And then there’s her podcast, Playing A Round, which was launched in 2020. On the show, Spiranac speaks candidly about her impressions of the golf world and often, ironically, slams sexism in the game.

Spiranac took issue with the golf world’s emphasis on having a “hot girlfriend” or wife. Like, say Paulina Gretzky, wife of LIV Golf star Dustin Johnson.

“But that doesn’t apply to a woman,” Spiranac said. “And it’s just really weird how [fans seem] so turned off by seeing that. But they love it when they get to see Paulina [Gretzky].

“It’s a form of sexism in a way … when it comes to men, having a hot wife or girlfriend is the greatest accessory that anyone could ever have.”
